Description
Summary:Superconductor magnetization was calculated using commercial FEM program. It is easy to create models of complex structures if we use commercial programs. Calculating superconductor magnetization using such program requires some techniques because commercially available FEM programs are made only for specific problems such as thermal, deformation and field calculation. We have successfully made a simulation of flux motion and magnetization using ANSYS. Flux motion in multi-filamentary Nb 3 Sn conductor with superconducting diffusion barrier was vividly seen as a motion picture. Fluxes spreads after penetrating through barrier and penetration into each filament take place. Magnetization curves of Bean model and variable Jc models were reasonably calculated.
