Transient behavior at planar microelectrodes: Diffusion current at the disk electrode by the integral equation method

Recently, we introduced a new method for computing the transient current at planar band and ring microelectrodes. The disk electrode may be considered a limiting form of the ring geometry, that is, a ring having zero interior annulus. We have found that an algorithm developed for the ring electrode...

Description
Summary:Recently, we introduced a new method for computing the transient current at planar band and ring microelectrodes. The disk electrode may be considered a limiting form of the ring geometry, that is, a ring having zero interior annulus. We have found that an algorithm developed for the ring electrode predicts the diffusion current for a disk electrode accurately with high computational efficiency. Comparisons of these results with other published methods are presented.
