Recognition of individual strains of fast-growing rhizobia by using profiles of membrane proteins and lipopolysaccharides

Membrane protein and lipopolysaccharide profiles of Rhizobium leguminosarum (biovars viciae, trifolii, and phaseoli), R. meliloti, and Agrobacterium tumefaciens strains were analyzed and compared by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Differences in one or both profiles allowe...

Description
Summary:Membrane protein and lipopolysaccharide profiles of Rhizobium leguminosarum (biovars viciae, trifolii, and phaseoli), R. meliloti, and Agrobacterium tumefaciens strains were analyzed and compared by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Differences in one or both profiles allowed us to distinguish all 18 R. leguminosarum strains tested in this study from each other
