Summary: | This paper introduces the theory and implementation of a new technique for the measurement of phase shift and power factor for a wide frequency range. Hardware realization is implemented using a read only memory (ROM) as a lookup table. Measurement is made with a resolution of one degree. The circuit is applicable for phase shift angles between 0 and 180 degree. Accuracy of less than ±1 degree has been achieved. |
