Summary:The products of the reaction of cis-[Pt(EMSO) 2 Cl 2 ] (EMSO = ethylmethylsulfoxide) with Ag 2 SO 4 were studied by 195 Pt nuclear magnetic resonance. The results have shown the presence of several species in aqueous solution. The reactions were done at different conditions of pH. The spectra of two isolated oligomers were also measured. The hydroxy-bridged dimer and trimer show a signal around −2900 ppm while the hydrolyzed monomers have signals around −3200 ppm. A semi-quantitative profile of the different equilibria in solution is suggested.
