Summary:The transformation‐range viscosity and the glass transformation temperatures were measured for three series of Li2O‐R2O3‐SiO2 glasses containing varying alumina‐to‐gallia ratios. The results indicate that these properties vary linearly with the alumina/gallia ratio. These results suggest that these glasses are isostructural and that no “mixed intermediate oxide” effect occurs.
