Summary:This article is a compact and relevant analysis of quality of life in the European Union during 2000-2010, throughout the duration of the "Lisbon Strategy 2000". This analysis includes data and research findings on an essential area of quality of life in the context of the current global economic recession: indicators of employment in direct correlation with job satisfaction and working conditions. The objective of this paper is to create a more complete image on how the EU population is reported to different components of quality of life, but mainly to those components directly or indirectly related to specific quantitative indicators of employment.
