description | The purpose of this paper is to investigate the relationship between locus of control (LOC) and organizational commitment. The research will be conducted on university level Professors in Pakistan. Previous research suggests that Professional orientation of professors and locus of control play an important role in contributing to professors' affective commitment. The finding through this research will explain that participants with more internal locus of control are more likely to have high affective and normative commitment whereas participants with more external locus of control are more likely to have high continuance commitment. The results will be discussed with series of recommendations for university level professors in Pakistan. Implications will be discussed. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT] |
