P-454: Pulse pressure and rate-pressure product during rehabilitation at low altitude in hypertensive patients after myocardial infarction

The aim of our study was to evaluate the effect of rehabilitaiton on pulse pressure (PP) and rate-pressure product (RPP) in patients with survival myocardial infarction and mild arterial hypertension on the mountain Zlatar (1230 M). A sample of 25 patients, 50,77 ± 11 years old with average blood pr...

Description
Summary:The aim of our study was to evaluate the effect of rehabilitaiton on pulse pressure (PP) and rate-pressure product (RPP) in patients with survival myocardial infarction and mild arterial hypertension on the mountain Zlatar (1230 M). A sample of 25 patients, 50,77 ± 11 years old with average blood pressure 150/94 mmHg who survived acute myocardial infarction (anteroseptal 14 and diaphragmal 11) in Zrenjanin (97 M above sea level) 6 months before rehabilitation enrolled in the study. Submaximal cycle exercise testing performed before (I-ET) and after (II-ET) a three week rehabilitation programme (walking, bicycle training and aerobic exercise). PP, RPP and exercise testing time (ETT) obtained before and after rehabilitation. Results have been tested by Student T test.
