Summary: | The role played by dealing with skeptical thinking in the development of anti-metaphysical, anti-dogmatic positions is one of the undisputed and time and again analyzed aspects of the development of transcendental-philosophical thinking - not least because of the available personal testimonies of both Kant and Fichte. The essential result of these analyzes seems to me that the skeptical questioning does not disappear with the development of the transcendental philosophical system by Fichte, but the associated (self-) questioning, the constant expansion of the problem view on the basis of a problem solution that has been worked out, remains an inherent moment of scientific philosophizing. For Fichte, the methodologically founded, critical self-relationship is a prerequisite and condition for being able to take a philosophical point of view. He values it as an indispensable agent for the advancement of philosophical thought. |
