Description
Summary:Role of meteorological factors on the prevalence of paramphistomosis has been studied. Temperature plays very important role in the causation of disease, which affects the metabolic processes of both the snail (host) and the parasite, thus interfering with parasite reproduction within the snail, snail growth and snail survival rate. The parasite develops optimally at 22-25 degree C and humidity of 55-70%. Rainfall is very important for the completion of life cycle of paramphistome and also it helps in the spread of cercariae from one place to other place.
