Description
Summary:Authors present review of articles about the use of vaginal tablets containing 25 µg of 17β-estradiol in the treatment of urogynecological complaints resulting from estrogen deficiency in peri- and postmenopausal women. Data shows that dose of 25 µg of 17β-estradiol does not have clinically significant systemic activity. Till now, if properly used, vaginal tablet containing 25 µg of 17β-estradiol does not show stimulating activity on endometrium. Authors consider that medicaments containing estradiol ad estriol are both standards in modern vaginal estrogen therapy. Vaginal tablet containing 17β-estradiol are noticed by most of the patients as more comfortable ad hygienic than vagitories and creams.
