Summary: | The basement of the Bureya terrane is usually believed to be Early Precambrian metamorphic rocks of the Amurian series (see [1] and the review in [2]). However, it has been shown in recent years that pro toliths of metamorphic rocks of this series formed in the Late Proterozoic or Early Paleozoic, while the superimposed structural metamorphic transforma tions occurred at the Paleozoic rather than Precam brian stage of their geological evolution. |
