Summary: | Human movement responses comprise functionally similar behavioral elements, and quantification of them is an appropriate procedure. The practice of combining the number of color responses into a total score which is interpreted differently from the human movement total score appears to be justified. There is evidence of functional similarity among groups of responses which have the same location. "The present data are in no sense a justification for the common practice of ascribing important personality differences between individuals as a result of small differences in the frequency with which color responses, movement responses, whole responses or large detail responses appear in the Rorschach protocols of the individuals." |
