Summary: | In my note ‘The Wyclif Manuscript in Florence’ in the issue of this review for January 1930, I drew attention to the fact that the Florentine codex contained a Latin version of Wyclif's Complaint (printed in Select English Works of John Wyclif, ed. Thom. Arnold [Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1871] iii, 507–523), which he published to be laid before the Parliament in 1382. Dr H. Workman, in his biography of John Wyclif (London, 1928, ii, 251) appears to say that the English Complaint is in an imperfect condition. |
