Summary: | Third year students in Psychology at the University of Nijmegen are offered a course on basic skills, part of which is dedicated to observation training. For practical and didactical reasons the format of this training has been changed towards Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI). Integrated visual materials are now presented by videodisk (VLP). Technically the system has been functioning well and student opinion on the program is clearly favourable. No conclusions could be drawn regarding students' classifications of relations but regarding the ability of students to identify elements of behaviour an improvement in results has been clearly confirmed. |
