Statistical Education: Improvements are Badly Needed

The need for improvements in statistical education is discussed. Teachers should help develop better programs and courses to recruit strong students. The American Statistical Association (ASA) should support faculty efforts, encourage students and fund workshops on teaching curriculum changes.
