Summary: | Intertalk, an interactive video program for teaching interviewing skills, is described. It was developed on an AT&T 6300+ microcomputer with a Microkey video controller card, Pioneer 6000 videodisc player, and a Sony color monitor that accepted both analog and digital signals. All programming was done in TenCore, a commercially available authoring language. The Dreyfus and Dreyfus model of complex skills acquisition provided the theoretical foundation for the development of the program. Future directions for the application of interactive video to the instruction of interviewing skills conclude the paper. |
