Summary:A trial to control of the tomato leafminer Scrobipaupula absoluta (Meyrick, 1917) was carried out in Goiânia, Goiás State, Brazil, using a new insecticide growth regulator the flufenoxuron, with dosages of 100 and 200g a.i./ha confronted with teflubenzuron, with dosages of 100 and 200g a.i./ha permethrin with dosage of 100 a.i./ha and untreated check. Estimations were done at 4, 7, 11 and 14 days after applications. The results obtained by this test showed that flufenoxuron was highly efficient in controlling the tomato leafminer till 14 days after treatment applications.
