Summary: | The effect of package courses-based on the learning community model-on several educational outcomes (grade point average (GPA), credit completion ratio, and retention) was investigated for first-year developmental students. Students coregistered for three or four linked courses: a content course (science or economics); a writing course; an academic success/study skills course; and, in some cases, a noncredit math course.
