Summary:In this paper, we investigate the principal security issues for wireless zigbee networks. We study the security threats that a zigbee networks faces and the security goals to be achieved by zigbee network. This study focuses on the Security Service Provider part of the ZigBee Specification, which interacts with the network and applications layers. We identify the new challenges and opportunities posed by this new networking environment and explore approaches to secure its communication.
