Description
Summary:This special issue of the JCC explores the proposition that the quest for sustainability is the most significant human development opportunity of the 21st century -- and that when people learn about and work toward building a sustainable world they too are poised to flourish in ways that elevate innovation, personal excellence and workplace well-being. Put another way, corporate citizenship is not only about serving or satisfying external stakeholders, it is also core to individual flourishing inside the firm. Positive psychology is the scientific study of the good life -- what is it, where is it happening and what nurtures it -- including the strengths and systems that enable individuals and communities to thrive. Mirror flourishing suggests an intimacy of relations between entities to the point where we can posit that there is no outside and inside, only the creative unfolding of and entire field of relations or connections.
