Surface Bound States in Superfluid 3He

We discuss on the surface bound states in superfluid 3He and their observation by transverse acoustic impedance measurement from a theoretical view point. We use a quasi-classical Green's function theory with random S matrix model for treating rough surface effects. We show that the transverse...

Description
Summary:We discuss on the surface bound states in superfluid 3He and their observation by transverse acoustic impedance measurement from a theoretical view point. We use a quasi-classical Green's function theory with random S matrix model for treating rough surface effects. We show that the transverse impedance quite nicely reflects the density of states of the surface bound states.
