Summary:Structural assignments based on a reconstruction from the 1H NMR dynamic behavior of the three 5,6-bis(substituted aryl)-7-oxo-5-norbornene-2-carboxylic esters named in the title have received confirmation from X-ray crystallographic studies. The specific structural features of these systems are compared among themselves and with those of 7-oxo-5,6-diphenyl-5-norbornene-2-carboxylic esters, analogues systems without substitution on the phenyl groups, which were studied earlier.
