Microwave-Assisted Reduction of Acetophenones Using Ni–Al Alloy in Water
The reduction of acetophenones using a Ni–Al alloy catalyst in water (H2O and D2O) under microwave irradiation proceeded to give the corresponding (deuterated) alkylbenzenes in good yields.
