Effective Surface Modification of Titanate Nanosheets Using the Lamellar Self-assembly of a Cationic Amine Surfactant as a Template

Description
Summary:Titanate nanosheets with a lamellar mesostructure were developed using the lamellar self-assembly of cationic 1,12-dodecanediamine (DDA) as a template. An electrostatic interaction between negatively charged titanate nanosheets and positively charged DDA molecules was required to form layered titanate nanosheets. This approach leads to titanate nanosheet surface characteristics such as visible light absorption and high adsorption of hydrophobic organic compounds.
