Summary: | The morphogenetic potential of explants are diversity distribute in species and cultivars of tomato. With the objective of studying the in vitro germination and morphogenetic responses of three cultivars of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill), "Diva", "Carmem" and "Thomas" and different explants in the presence of TDZ, two experiments were conducted, in laboratory, using as source of explant material germinated in vitro. The first experiment evaluated the percentage of germination of three cultivars of tomato in culture medium supplemented or not with 10 µM of TDZ, and the responses of the material after the germination. The second experiment evaluated the induction of morphogenetic responses in explants of different parts of the plant in each one of the three cultivars, in the presence of 10 µM of TDZ. It was not observed differences in the seed germination of the cultivars and TDZ has benefitted the germination and the responses after the germination. "Carmem" was the one that presented better results for formation of calluses and "Thomas" the one that bigger introduced formation of shoot, both in the presence of TDZ. For all cultivars tested, it was verified morphogenetic responses in the hypocotyledonary area and in presence of TDZ. |
