Summary:The aim of this study was to evaluate the longitudinal changes in [^sup 11^C]PIB uptake in mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer's disease (AD) over a long-term follow-up. Six AD patients, ten MCI patients and eight healthy subjects underwent a [^sup 11^C]PIB PET scan at baseline and at 2 and 5 years.
