Summary: | The present paper attempts to evaluate the persisting dichotomy between the terms informal and unorganized sector/workers. The usage and definition of the said terms differs significantly both within and outside the country. Since a huge amount of labor force is employed in these sectors the problem of its recognition and coverage endows a great challenge towards development of human resource in India.
