Summary:International constitutionalism has become a major scientific discussion not only between international lawyers but also in constitutional and political and social theory doctrine in the last decade. It is possible to identify a wide range of options ranging from very different projects of formal constitution of the international community to the concept of international constitutionalism and constitutional fragments. This diversity also extends to external methodological perspectives (positivist, critical, social theory, etc.) and to the object of international constitutionalism (as only the exercise of public authority or private power also). The objectives of this paper are to show the richness of the debate through a selection of the most representative works, make a presentation, systematization and critical review of the content of the selected works and contextualize the various proposals and put them in relation to each other in the broader doctrinal map of international constitutionalism.
