Description
Summary:The goal of this work was to study the formation of complexes by bacteriochlorophyll a derivatives with HSA and the ability of these compounds to initiate the photoinduced death of tumor cells. The high constants of complex formation with albumin, chemical and light stability, the absence of dark cytotoxicity, and the high efficiency of photo damage of tumor cells suggest that the novel class of cycloimide derivatives of natural bacteriochlorophyll a is promising for the development of anticancer photosensitizers.
