Summary: | The present study describes the fabrication of silver nanoparticles/polyacrylamide nanospheres as a DNA binding matrix for various genomic applications. It was developed by nucleation of ascorbic acid-stabilized spherical mono dispersed silver nanoparticles (40nm) within polyacrylamide layer. The DNA binding nanomatrix was characterized for various physiochemical parameters and successfully validated for stable DNA binding efficiency. The silver nanoparticles/polyacrylamide nanospheres have shown a very good DNA conjugation yield of 1.8µg mg

. The Ag nanoparticles/polyacrylamide nanospheres has also been proven as an efficient DNA carrier agent with a persistent DNA recovery of 80-85%, showing its potential in DNA based applications. |
