Summary: | Globalization and cycles theories have developed relatively independent for a long period of time. This paper explores the mainstream theories regarding the two concepts and attempt to identify several levels of interaction between them. Among the most important findings are that they have some common causes and there are pertinent arguments to sustain the cyclical nature of globalization. Technological innovation or economic crises are some key concepts that bring together the theories of globalization and economic cycles. |
