Summary:It is becoming increasingly imperative for Nigeria to deepen and diversify the fundamentals of its foreign relations. The occasion of a visit by the Nigerian President to the Netherlands therefore, attracted this research attention. Accordingly, the general objective of the study is to examine the character of Nigeria-Netherlands relations, under the Jonathan Administration. The specific objectives are to determine if there is a definable focus for the Nigeria-Netherlands relations, under the Jonathan Administration, and to recommend ways of improving a mutually beneficial direction for the Nigeria-Netherlands relations, under the Jonathan Administration.
