MicroRNA-21 Deficiency Leads to an Attenuated Asthma Response in Mice

Mechanistically, a direct effect of miR-21 on IL-12 production could be demonstrated as bone marrow derived dendritic cells from miR-21 knockout mice produced significantly more IL-12 after stimulation with LPS or LPS + IFNγ compared to wild type cells.
