A Longitudinal Cohort Study of Transepidermal Water Loss in the First Six Months of Life as a Predictor of Atopic Dermatitis

Infants who develop AD by 6 months of age have a greater increase in TEWL between the ages of 2 days and 2 months of life and the rate of change in TEWL in the first 6m rather than any absolute value predicts better the development of AD.
