According to Malhan and Rao (2007:2) 'Globalisation has offered enormous opportunities but also threats to communities that are not adequately prepared to face its challenges. [...]there is need to educate people on globalisation so that they are able to appreciate and tame/ tape what is good from it and infuse it with local knowledge and discard that which they think is detrimental to their well-being.
