Description
Summary:California requires the highest volume of healthcare-associated infection (HAI) reporting to the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) to meet state mandates. Hospital-based infection preventionists (IPs) may know how to collect data but are less confident on how to analyze, identify targets for improvement, and implement prevention bundles in a programmatically sustainable manner. State public health HAI Programs can offer individualized assistance and provide facility-specific recommendations to yield the greatest gains.
