Summary: | We develop a generalized image method to solve radiation problems in nonreciprocal stratified Tellegen media. It is shown that the electromagnetic fields emitted by elementary sources have exact analytical expressions in case of isorefractive structures. Namely, we prove that the fields radiated by an electric dipole in the vicinity of a nonreciprocal Tellegen slab can be written as the superposition of the fields radiated by a set of infinite virtual dipoles. We outline some possible applications of our theory and show that the Tellegen slab allows tailoring the polarization state of the radiated fields. |
