The degree of pancreatic fibrosis as measured by endoscopic ultrasound-guided elastography (EUS-E) predicts pancreatic exocrine insufficiency (PEI) in chronic pancreatitis (CP)

PEI was diagnosed by 13C-mixed triglyceride breath test (normal 13C-recovery rate >29%) within 2 weeks after EUS-E.
