Description
Summary:The American College of Cardiology Foundation (ACCF)/American Heart Association (AHA)/American College of Physicians (ACP) Task Force on Clinical Competence and Training was formed in 1998 to develop recommendations for attaining and maintaining the cognitive and technical skills necessary for the competent performance of a specific cardiovascular service, procedure, or technology. Optimal outcome is most likely when operators select clinically appropriate patients for interventional procedures and perform these procedures at a requisite level of proficiency and competency.\nACCF indicates American College of Cardiology Foundation; AHA, American Heart Association; NCDR, National Cardiovascular Data Registry; PCI, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention; SCAI, Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
