Summary: | In the event of angiographic evidence of large thrombus as seen in stent thrombosis, slow- or no-reflow phenomenon and other thrombotic complications, use of GP IIb/IIIa inhibitors as bail-out therapy seems reasonable. Tirofiban was administered as an intracoronary bolus injection (10[micro]g/kg over 3 min) followed by maintenance intravenous infusion at 0.15[micro]g*kg-1*min-1 for 24 h. Additonally, a 10 mg of Alteplase (t-PA) diluted with 20 ml of saline and given through the guiding catheter within 3 minutes. |
