Summary: | Micropore composite films of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) were successfully prepared by solvent casting method using phenol and 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane as solvents. The micropore composite films were investigated by Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Atomic Force Microscope (AFM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV spectrophotometry, Dynamic Mechanical Thermal Analysis (DMTA), and Optical Microscope and Fluorescence Microscope, respectively. When the ratio of PEG-PET blends was 10/90, the preferred films were obtained. With the increased content of PEG, the behaviors of the blends had no more significant changes accordingly. The micropore film got a permanent antibacterial characteristic by incorporating 1% nano-Ag particles without damaging its crystallization. |
