Summary:Social rights are important because they are fundamental rights which protect and guarantee employees against social risks in working life. However there are injustices about the applicability of social rights among genders. This study examines the social rights of women workers in Turkey, primarily by defining and classifying the social rights in the historical process of development are discussed in our country. In this study, the social rights of women employed in Turkey on the conditions are examined by statistical data. As a result of the assessment made, social rights of women in our country compared to male workers were found to be more disadvantaged and the factors that led it has been found to result from the gender-based discrimination.
