Description
Summary:The Geological Survey of India undertook mapping of the entire Pakhal basin during late 60s and early 80s of the last century. While summing up the results of this work, Sreenivasa Rao (1987) contends that the metamorphosed rocks of the Yellandlapad (Khammam district) area in the south are merely the stratigraphic extensions of the unmetamorphosed Pakhal of the Mulug (Warangal district) area in the north, notwithstanding the contrast in their grades of metamorphism.
