Summary: | To the Editor: Our study detailed an ultrasound-guided transversus thoracic muscle plane (TTP) block [1], which can be administered by injection of a local anesthetic and can block multiple anterior branches of intercostal nerves (Th2-6) present in the internal mammary region. [...]even if we cannot perform a general anesthesia, a combination of the TTP block and pectoral nerve II (PECSII) block [2] may enable successful almost all breast cancer resections in patients with breast cancer. Case 2 was a 66-year-old woman with severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and hypertension who underwent left lymph node dissection and segmental resection at the upper inner region of her left breast. |
