Pancreatic thickness, the only significant predictive factor for pancreatic fistula after distal pancreatectomy

Multivariate analysis revealed that the pancreatic thickness over than 17.6mm (odds ratio [OR] 6.69; P = 0.029) and the extent of cross-sectional area over than 377 mm2 (OR 12.68; P = 0.022) of pancreas stump were independent risk factors for clinically-relevant POPF.
