Summary: | Auricular pseudocyst or Idiopathic cystic chondromalacia is a rare, benign condition characterized by a focal noninflammatory cystic swelling on the pinna, occurring usually in young male patients. Bilaterality and recurrence have been reported rarely. We report a case of bilateral, recurrent auricular pseudocyst in a young male patient, where fine needle aspiration cytology coupled with fluid lactate dehydrogenase level estimation was diagnostic. Repeated surgery was avoided and conservative treatment was proved to be effective. |
