Summary: | Originating from a conceptual and metaphorical vision of "knowledge as flows" , and subsequently knowledge as processes, this issue of KMRP aims to review observable knowledge management (KM) processes at the core of the corporate system and the innovation ecosystem; this shows that KM processes transcend corporate boundaries and are part of a territorial vs an extraterritorial dimension. In the corporate setting, operational and managerial processes are slotted into power and hierarchical relationships and impact organisational performance and to an even greater extent, the innovation ecosystem. This calls for performance measurement that takes account of the feedback loops between measurement objects, metrics and the resulting interpretations (Schiuma, 2010). Five papers have been chosen to illustrate and expand this broad thematic. |
