Summary: | Collecting information on food and dietary intake provides valuable insights into the associations between diet and health, and helps to evaluate the impact of intervention programmes. Thus, high quality dietary assessment instruments are needed with high validity and reliability for all ages [1, 2]. Measuring adolescents' dietary intake is still challenging and many sources of measurement error are reported [3]. Adolescents may be less interested, less motivated and less cooperative compared to other age groups with regard to reporting diet [3, 4]. Preliminary studies among adolescents suggest that the innovative use of new-technology may improve the accuracy of adolescents' dietary information [5, 6]. |
